Arsenal Legend Gives Out His View On Ozil’s Performance 

The gunners beat Everton 5-2 in a remarkable come back which saw the Arsenal team scoring for fun in the 2nd half of the match. Mesut Ozil was also among the outstanding players that had a great performance against the toffees who had given the Arsenal supporters a scare after their midfielder Wayne Rooney opened up the scoring in the first half of the match.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has been one of the top criticizers of the German international who is said to be in need of leaving the Emirates stadium but the former Arsenal star says that he is impressed by the performance showed by Mesut Ozil against Everton. He says;

“I have been very critical, we’re nine games in and suddenly he’s turned up, He knitted everything together.” said the legend on the Match of the day TV programme

Mesut Ozil scored the second goal of the match and then set up Arsenal mega money signing Alexandre Lacazette who then scored his 5th goal of the season. The player says that ‘ thoroughly clinical performance at Goodison Park. That’s how we need to play every week.’ The gooners will certainly be happy about that short statement because they are currently scared that Mesut Ozil might leave the Emirates stadium in January.

Arsene Wenger was also very impressed with the performances of his attacking midfielder and he says that the player does everything he wants to do and he hopes that the German international shows similar performances in the future. The French manager also cleared the air on the situation of Mesut Ozil at the Emirates stadium and says that rumours linking the player to Manchester United are absurd.
