Wenger Reveals Why Lacazette Was Benched Against West Ham ( Not What You All Expected) 

The gunners played against West Ham United on Wednesday this week and drew but the most thing that angered Arsenal supporters was that the manager benched Alexandre Lacazette.

The gunners travelled to the London stadium this week after they had made a disappointing 1-1 draw with Southampton at the St Mary’s stadium and Alexandre Lacazette was on the squad to face West Ham United but was benched.

Arsene Wenger has revealed something everyone has been asking, on why Alexandre Lacazette didn’t start who was later brought in in the 83rd minute but the manager has defended himself by saying that he wasn’t fully fit, the manager said;

“He recently had a groin problem and I did not want to push him too much. I don’t feel it like he was dropped,he was rested.” the manager is quoted by MIRROR SPORT.

The gunners may not agree with the manager because they think that he decided to bench the former Lyon star was because he wanted to give Olivier Giroud a chance in the English Premier League who hadn’t made any start in the league competition since it begun in August this year but the manager rubbishes off those claims and says that he was resting their record signing.

The gunners signed Alexandre Lacazette in the summer transfer window on an Arsenal record feeand the Frenchman has already scored eight league goals but the fans are worried that the manager may ruin his talent if he be benching the striker more often like how he did with the likes of Joel Campbell and Lucas Podolski who both left the club a few years ago.
