It was announced yesterday how the gunners had gone different ways with their veteran winger Theo Walcott who had spent more than a decade at the Emirates stadium but is now an Everton.
The news broke the hearts of many Arsenal supporters because he was and will always be a fan favorite amongst the gunners who have been giving him support ever since he got his debut when he was still very young. It must have been a very big decision because it ain’t easy for a player familiar with a club leaving it easily.
Theo Walcott was very happy to have made the move but was very apologetic and thankful to the Gooners in his Instagram post as you can see below.
The midfielder wrote the emotional message below to all gooners in all parts of the world;
““ I would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved Arsenal – manager, coaches, backroom staff, and all the many people at the club that have been part of my family for the past 12 years. I would also like to thank all my team mates I have had the pleasure of playing alongside, but most importantly the fans for their incredible support. I feel sad to leave but also excited for a new challenge. I wish everyone at the club every success for the future. ””
The news about Theo Walcott came in very fast and many people did not think that it is true that the manager would decide to let go of the English international who he has coached for 12 years in the January transfer window. Even though some are disappointed that Walcott has left but some see this as an opportunity for Arsene Wenger to get more signings before the transfer window closes.
