Aubameyang Reveals Why He Let Lacazette Take Penalty Instead Of Aiming For Hatrick
Arsenal striker Aubameyang surprised the fans when he gave a penalty to Alexandre Lacazette when he could have taken it to get a Hatrick for the first time in Arsenal colours.
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette returned back to the squad this week after several weeks on the sidelines and he got introduced into today’s match as a substitute.
The gunners won today’s match in the last 15 minutes of the match and their skipper Aubameyang scored a double, the Arsenal team later got a penalty with most of the fans thinking that the Gabonian international is going to take it, the striker decided to give the chance to Alexandre Lacazette who had just returned from injury and the French man did no mistake as he smashed the ball into the back of the net.
Some fans are still surprised why Aubameyang did that so he has revealed why he didn’t take the penalty to get a hatrick;
“I know that Laca is back and I had scored twice, so I wanted to let him score, it’s normal. I think it’s good for his confidence.” said Aubameyang.
The gunners have loved the expression that their new signing has showed because it proves that he and Lacazette can make a great partnership in next season’s campaign.
The Arsenal fans were impressive with today’s performance preferably the 2nd half where all of the goals were scored and what also made the fans so happy is what Aubameyang did because there were rumours that the Gabonian international and Lacazette weren’t that close because they are competing for the same position.
Aubameyang arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window and became the most expensive player to have ever been bought by the gunners.
