Report: Arsenal Legend Not Happy With Board For Snubbing Arteta At Last Minute
Mikel Arteta has been trending for weeks with most already accepting him as the next Arsenal manager but all that has changed over night as its said the bot now want Unai Emery and Ian Wright isn’t happy about that.
Arsenal made a last-minute change of heart in their quest to look for a new manager and they ended their interest in appointing Mikel Arteta as a manager of the gunners because they believe he has no experience in managing a club but Arsenal legend Ian Wright has termed this action as being desperate.
The Arsenal board has interviewed many capable candidates that would replace Arsene Wenger who left at the end of last season but over the last two weeks, there has been reports that the board had chosen to appoint a former Arsenal player with that being Mikel Arteta who is still at Manchester City but it was later reported yesterday that Unai Emery is in London to make talks with Arsenal over offering him the manager position.
Ian Wright says that he isn’t sure why Arsenal have dropped Mikel Arteta after having advanced talks with him.
“Why have they strung Arteta along? Why not be honest and say, this is what we are going to go for now. ’ Ian Wright told 5Live.
“Is it because of the public sway? It just seems really desperate.’
“Arsenal getting in touch with Viera for the manager’s job was tokenism, it’s embarrassing.’
Arsenal want to appoint a new manager before the World Cup begins but there are running out of options if negotiations don’t go well with Unai Emery who is said to be in London today with talks already under way.
Arsenal fans will however be happy that Mikel Arteta might not be appointed their manager because they have been against him becoming their boss since day one because they believe he is still a junior when it comes to managing a big club such as Arsenal.
