Stephan Lichtsteiner Already In London To Complete Move To Arsenal
Arsenal are going to get their first signing after it’s been reported that Stephan Lichtsteiner is already in the English capital to complete his deal to the Emirates Stadium.
The gunners have appointed a new manager and it means that the club is now complete, ready to even start singing players which manager Unai Emery believes that best suits the new manager’s style of play.
The Arsenal team has shown concrete interest in Juventus right back Stephan Lichtsteiner and we reported in the morning how the North Londoners were determined to bring him to the Emirates Stadium but it’s now been reported by The Evening Standard that Stephan is already in London.
The report says that the 34-year-old has even visited Arsenal’s training ground where he is believed to have had his medical before agreeing a deal with the North Londoners. The experienced defender comes to the Emirates Stadium to ease on the injury woes of the Arsenal team because they were very weak in defense in the past season which saw the gunners concede many goal in the 2017/18 season.
Arsenal new manager Unai Emery is said to have put his emphasis on strengthening his defense because he’s already said that he wants his squad to always press the opponents until they get the ball so getting Stephan Lichtsteiner who is strong enough would give more competition to Hector Bellerin who is a bit weak.
Stephan Lichtsteiner’s current contract at Juventus expires in July and he has already confirmed that he won’t be staying at the Italian club hence attracting much interest from top European clubs.
