Report: Steven N’Zonzi Hints At Joining Arsenal
Arsenal is linked with Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi and it’s now reported that the player wants to leave the Spanish club this summer.
Arsenal have been busy in the transfer window since the appointment of Unai Emery as the Spanish manager is working hard to get the team back on track with new signings.
The gunners were linked with Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi a few weeks ago but the rumors quietly ended when the gunners were reported to have completed the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria with only announcement pending.
The Sun today claims that Steven N’Zonzi has told his father to tell his club Sevilla of his intention to leave the Spanish club this summer even though he is contracted to stay there until 2020. It is reported that Unai Emery wants to also strengthen the Arsenal midfield this summer because it was very weak last season causing the gunners to concede in most matches.
It is not yet clear whether Steven N’Zonzi wants to leave Sevilla because of a possible move to the Emirates Stadium but it is Arsenal that has been most linked with because Unai Emery did coach him in the past before he left Sevilla so he would be hoping to use that relationship to acquire the services of the French international.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the gunners will announce the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria next week as they have now completed the deal.
