Arsenal will be playing against West Ham United on Saturday and it will be the first time Jack Wilshere comes to the Emirates Stadium as an opponent after he permanently left the North London club in this summer transfer window.

Jack Wilshere’s departure from the Emirates Stadium was very controversial because the midfielder claimed that he made the decision to leave Arsenal after he had a meeting with the new manager, Unai Emery who opened up to him that he can’t guarantee him enough playing time this season if he stays. Jack Wilshere had been offered a new deal but he instead rejected it.

After Jack Wilshere announced his decision to leave the Emirates Stadium, West Ham United contacted the English international since he was even a free agent and he is now a hammer who will probably be in the lineup to face Arsenal on Saturday.

Arsenal fans were looking forward to hearing what Unai Emery had to say about Jack Wilshere since they are facing his team this week and the manager revealed what they said with the midfielder in the fifteen minute conversation they had.

“I spoke with him for 15 minutes here at Colney before he left. The first thing for me is I have respect for his career here.” the manager told Arsenal’s official website.

“And then, he chooses what the best was for him in his future. It’s for that, on Saturday, I know that here, the supporters like him and have this respect also.”

The manager also said that he believes that there will be a good reception for him on Saturday because he has a good history at the club after having spent a decade there. Arsenal fans were not happy with Unai Emery’s decision to let go of Jack Wilshere so they will be hoping that the replacements, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi will have a great first season at the Emirates Stadium.
