Unai Emery Reveals How Mesut Ozil Is Doing In Training
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has confirmed that Mesut Ozil is doing fine in training after he was ill last week and missed the West Ham United game.
Mesut Ozil missed Arsenal’s match against West Ham United on Saturday last week after it was revealed that he had an illness before the match but there has been many speculations, with some claiming that the German international faked being sick.
Mesut Ozil was however in the pictures taken when the Arsenal players were in training this week and this clearly shows that he is no longer sick as Unai Emery earlier said after their win against West Ham United. Unai Emery has today said that the German international is okay in training as they prepare for their match against Cardiff City.
“He’s training normally with the group, in every session this week.” the manager told Arsenal.com.
“We started on Tuesday and every day he has been training with the group. He’s OK. Also I’m looking at him well every day.”
Mesut Ozil will likely get benched on Sunday because Unai Emery has shown that he doesn’t tolerate any under performing players in his team and this was seen a few weeks back when the boss decided to drop Aaron Ramsey from the starting eleven in the match against Chelsea, and the German international has been heavily criticized for having a poor performance in the matches against Manchester City and Chelsea.
Mesut Ozil has shown that he hasn’t forgotten what happened to him a few weeks ago which saw him even quit the Germany national team and his mind is not yet focussed at Arsenal, yet the North Londoners need him because he is their best player at the moment but has lost his touch.
