Arsenal manager Unai Emery is now low on options in the left back position after Sead Kolasinac sustained a long-term injury and the gunners have tried to be cautious with Nacho Monreal because he participated in the FIFA World Cup.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles started in the left back position last week when the gunners welcomed Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium but the youngster was taken off from the match after he sustained an injury which rules him out from the match against Chelsea.

Stephan Lichtsteiner replaced Maitland-Niles on Sunday yet the Swiss international is a right back and Unai Emery has confirmed that Nacho Monreal could make a return on Saturday because he is immersly training.

“This week Nacho Monreal is working every day, training every day with us. The two options we have now are Nacho Monreal and Lichtsteiner to continue in this position.” he told Arsenal.com.

The Arsenal fans will be hoping to see a good performance against Chelsea because they weren’t happy with what the squad showed on Sunday because it was disappointing but they still have trust in Unai Emery.

Nacho Monreal didn’t take part in Arsenal’s pre-season campaign because he was on international duty in Russia for the World Cup but he didn’t get any start in all the matches which Spain played but he was still given a break by the club.
