Arsenal’s playmaker Mesut Ozil missed the match against West Ham United and there were many speculations that the German international didn’t take part on Saturday because he was angry with Unai Emery for telling him that he won’t play against the hammers.

These speculations started because the German international had a poor performance against Chelsea last weekend and Unai Emery has already shown that he is a no-nonsense manager who would be bold enough to bench Arsenal fan favourite, Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery was asked on whether these claims were true and it seems the Spanish boss felt offended by these unreal rumours as he confirmed that Mesut Ozil is sick.

“Maybe in English it is difficult to explain, but first, why is this information being reported? It isn’t true.” Unai Emery told Arsenal.com.

“That information needs first to be true. Who is starting to telling you or us this information? You ask me, or the doctor, or the club. He was sick yesterday.”

Mesut Ozil will however have to prove to Unai Emery that he is important in the Arsenal starting eleven before the gunners make a trip to Cardiff City after the international break, so the German international will need to work hard in training because Aaron Ramsey who played in his position on Saturday seemed fine even though not as creative as him.

Most football analysts believe that the reason Mesut Ozil isn’t at his normal self yet is because his mind is still thinking about everything that happened to him during and after the World Cup, so his focus isn’t at Arsenal now and this will be the last thing Unai Emery wants in any of his players because he wants wins.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
