Santi Cazorla Says Unai Emery Contacted Him For Advice
Former Arsenal star Santi Cazorla has revealed that Unai Emery contacted him in the summer to ask him some questions about the North London club.
Unai Emery arrived at the Emirates Stadium in May after Arsene Wenger quit the managerial job of Arsenal and the new boss has started his journey of changing everything at the club.
Unai Emery has had a rough start to the new season with two defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea consecutively but every Arsenal fan is confident that the new boss will make wonders at the club even though it will take time to achieve that dream.
Santi Cazorla was released by Arsenal this year after his contract expired but the Spanish midfielder says that the new gunners boss contacted him about the things which he should change at the Emirates Stadium, so that he could be successful in England.
“I didn’t know him but in the summer, Emery called me to find out about the team and the club, for a bit more info.” said Santi Cazorla in an interview with the Guardian.
“It’s normal to speak to someone who has been inside for their view. I told him what I thought, the things that he had to change and the things he had to reinforce.”
Santi Cazorla says that he doesn’t want to disclose more about what they talked about with Unai Emery because it is a secret but confirmed that he told the new Arsenal boss that it is an incredible club and that it got everything it needs to win trophies.
Arsenal is currently in the nineth position on the Premier League table after getting two wins and two losses out of their first four matches into the new season but the fans are behind him because they have seen some physical changes at the club.
