Arsenal’s winning streak has ended today after they failed to defeat Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park. The match ended 2-2 and this score line has disappointed many Arsenal supporters because they thought that Unai Emery would make it a dozen wins in a row.

The gunners came into the match with high confidence since they had won their last eleven matches. Their match against Crystal Palace started similar to the other matches which the gunners have won because the Eagles were the first to go on the score board after Shkodran Mustafi fouled an opponent and the home side was awarded a penalty. Milivojevic sent Bernd Leno the wrong way and took Crystal Palace into the lead.

The gunners failed to get back into the match and the first half ended 0-1 in favour of the Eagles. At the beginning of the second half, Unai Emery removed Bellerin and brought Stephan Lichtsteiner into the game, gotta admit, the Swiss international had a great performance even though the match was very intense.

The gunners equalised in a free kick goal scored by Granit Xhaka who sent in a powerful shot which the Crystal Palace goalkeeper couldn’t stop even though he did put his fingers on the ball. The gunners didn’t long to get their second goal of the day as Aubameyang flicked the ball into the back of the net after the ball presumedly hit Lacazette’s hand.

Crystal Palace now pushed for an equaliser and put Arsenal on pressure, they had chances to score each and everyone minute but the gunners were still lucky to have kept their lead. Unai Emery then subbed Mesut Ozil off to bring in Danny Welbeck and later also removed Aubameyang to bring in Aaron Ramsey.

Crystal Palace’s attacks finally paid off after Granit Xhaka fouled down a player in his box and the referee pointed at the penalty spot, Bernd Leno was once again unable to stop Milivojevic from scoring the penalty spot kick. So there goes Arsenal’s winning streak but the Arsenal fans should still be happy that they have gone 12 games without a loss.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
