Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has again been left out of the French national team squad that will play the upcoming matches against Iceland and Germany.

Alexandre Lacazette will certainly be disappointed that he didn’t make it because he has proved himself in the last five club matches but it seems that the French manager has enough players who can play the same position as the Arsenal striker who will be staying home in this international break.

Alexandre Lacazette didn’t have a good performance last season because the then Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger didn’t trust him so much and gave him limited chances, as a result, he wasn’t included in the 23-man squad of France that went to Russia for the World Cup and ended up winning it. French national team boss Didier Deschamps says that he couldn’t include Lacazette because he is happy with his World Cup squad and he also wants balance in his team.

“There is competition for each position. When the players who were at the World Cup are performing well, it is not a question of type of player but of position.” said the French boss as reported by the Mirror.

“I need balance in the squad and he is a central attacker. He must continue.”

Alexandre Lacazette was at first also not in Unai Emery’s first eleven when this season begun but the Frenchman has worked hard and proved to him that he is a versatile attacker, and is now Arsenal’s first choice striker.

Alexandre Lacazette not getting a call up will probably be disappointing to him but it will be great news for Arsenal fans because he will not be at a risk of getting injured during the international break because he will stay in London.
