Transfer News: Unai Emery wants Ever Banega to replace Aaron Ramsey
Ever Banega was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window but it’s now reported that the gunners want him to replace Aaron Ramsey.
Arsenal’s talks with Aaron Ramsey over a new contract have collapsed after both parties failed to agree on a new deal and its reported that the club ended it’s interest of offering the Welshman a new contract after he demanded too much.
So Aaron Ramsey will likely leave the gunners next year when his contract expires or in the January transfer window because the gunners could decide to sell him off so that they raise some money to buy a perfect replacement. It’s more likely because Arsenal does understand that they can get a good amount by selling Ramsey since he is wanted by many European clubs.
The Daily Mail claims that the gunners are ready to move on and will now put all their efforts into signing Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega who has been impressive in the last few months, including even in the World Cup matches before his country got eliminated from the competition.
Ever Banega played under Unai Emery when he was at Valencia and Sevilla so it is reported that the Arsenal boss will be hoping to use the good relationship he has with Banega to convince him to coming to the Emirates Stadium in the winter transfer window because he seems like a perfect replacement for Aaron Ramsey because he is got the skills, energy, creativity and can even boss the midfield.
Ever Banega would add one extra layer of protection to the Arsenal defence because he is also good at going back to help out the centre backs. Sevilla won’t just let go of Ever Banega unless the gunners activate his buyout clause of £18million and this shouldn’t be a big amount if the gunners have sold Aaron Ramsey who is valued at £50million.
Aaron Ramsey has not made any statement on his future but his agent did confirm a few days ago that his client will be leaving the Emirates Stadium after Arsenal withdrew their offer from the discussion table without any given reason. He will now need to work hard so that Arsenal’s coach Unai Emery can talk to his bosses about giving the Welshman a new deal.
But for now, it seems Arsenal has already begun looking for a potential replacements for Aaron Ramsey.
