Aaron Ramsey aka Rambo has been at the heart of negotiations with the Arsenal board to extend his contract at the club. At 27 years of age, Ramsey is the longest-serving Arsenal player in the current squad. At one point, he was seen as a possible captain of the team but Unai Emery chose Laurent Koscielny as the main captain. Aaron Ramsey has decided to run down his contract and leave on a free transfer although it’s not clear where he will end up.

Signed from Cardiff City, Aaron established himself as a Fabregas replacement and one season he hit double figures in goals. Whether Ramsey will be missed or not leaves the fans divided. Many didn’t see his best as Wenger opted to play him out of his preferred position. Some even questioned his quality altogether.

Ramsey will be missed by some but not by all especially if he joins a rival team. Rambo will tarnish his reputation at the club if it turns out that he is leaving because of his salary demands. Even though he is linked with a move away from Arsenal but it is possible that he may stay. Truth be told that Ramsey has not been the same after that fateful day when he was injured and faced a lengthy time on the sidelines.

Rambo is an important player in the Arsenal midfield, his goal against Fulham showed what class he is. Making runs into the yard and his vision to make a pass make Ramsey a special player.

Unai Emery made it clear that Ramsey was important in his plans, meaning game time would not have been the reason the contract talks stalled. Ramsey knows that he is replaceable, his position has been occupied by several other players and they have not failed at it. The Welsh player needs to think carefully about his career otherwise this maybe the beginning of the end.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
