Arsenal loaned David Ospina to Napoli in the summer transfer window because the North London club wouldn’t be able to give him enough chances since it has three other good goalkeepers in its record books.

David Ospina has played as a back up goalkeeper for Arsenal in the last few years because Arsene Wenger trusted Petr Cech more than him and, now the signing of Bernd Leno kinda of showed that the gunners weren’t ready to give him a chance especially since the new boss opted to loaning him while he kept the Czech Republican international.

David Ospina has not found life hard at Napoli because he is getting some play time which is something that he wouldn’t have got if he stayed at the Emirates Stadium. The Colombian goalkeeper has made 11 appearances for Napoli this season and he has performed incredibly well in those matches, and some of their fans have already begun urging the club to make the deal permanent.

David Ospina’s father has however revealed that Napoli want to keep his son permanently even if they will activate the 30 game clause which was agreed between the two clubs, so if he plays more than those matches, they will have to sign him.

“Yes, I hear it said here by all the media,The Napoli wants to keep it regardless of the 30 games.” Hernan Ospina told Radio Marte via Tuttomercato.

“He is happy, has a good contract, is doing very well with the whole team and is in one of the best clubs in Italy Scudetto.”

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
