Match Preview: Arsenal Vs Sporting Lisbon
Arsenal’s next match will be against Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.

Arsenal will on Thursday welcome Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium and this will be the return leg of their Europa League encounter after the gunners obtained a win in Portugal two weeks ago. If the gunners defeat the Portuguese side this week, they will have qualified to the Europa League round of 32.
The gunners are currently first in their UEFA Europa League Group E after winning all their three matches and Arsenal will come into this match while confident of a win because they were able to defeat Sporting Lisbon at its own stadium, it will be hard for the visitors to get a win against the gunners at the Emirates Stadium these days because they haven’t lost there a game since their season opening match against Manchester City in August.
Sporting Lisbon defeated Santa Clara 2-1 last weekend while the gunners made a 1-1 with Liverpool on Saturday. Arsenal is expected to use its second eleven against Sporting Lisbon because Unai Emery has said that he wants to give chances to every player in order to give them confidence so we will probably see players like Stephan Lichtsteiner, Danny Welbeck and Carl Jenkinson in the starting lineup.

It seems Sporting Lisbon hasn’t been on form if you are to look at its last five results, they have won thrice and lost twice including the game in which the gunners defeated them. Arsenal has also not been impressive as in the past because it has dropped four points in the last two weeks which has costed them their position in the Premier League top four.
Sporting Lisbon will give it’s all to win this match but the gunners will however face them when they are calm because they are few chances of them of not qualifying to the next round.
