Arsenal fans cried for a world-class striker for more than five years and Arsene Wenger finally signed Alexandre Lacazette but the Frenchman never impressed as expected, and the gunners then brought Aubameyang to the Emirates Stadium this year after having been linked with him in almost four transfer windows.

Cut to the present, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is now an Arsenal player and he has been impressive this season, he has scored 10 goals for the gunners to become the Premier League top scorer for the time being. The Gabon international has now scored 20 goals in his last 27 Premier League matches and this is a great stat which has made the Arsenal fans to love him more because it shows how clinical he is!

Aubameyang continued his impressive run on Sunday when the gunners welcomed Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium, he scored a brace and Arsenal fans have now begun comparing him to their legends like Ian Wright and Thierry Henry. Aubameyang has scored 10 goals from his last 10 shots on target and it’s a pretty good record and the Gabonian has said that it’s great to make records but has asked the Arsenal fans not to compare him to the legends.

“When you break records, it is always good for you to remember after your career, it’s good to write in your papers!” Aubameyang told Arsenal’s official website.

“But it’s tough to achieve these goals because [Henry and Wright] did a lot of things for the club and scored a lot of goals.”

“I don’t know if you can compare me to them because they are legends already, I have a lot of work to do to achieve their goals.I am here and I am trying to do my best to achieve their goals.”

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
