Unai Emery delivers positive update on Shkodran Mustafi’s injury
December has been a disappointing month for Arsenal because it’s unbeaten run ended, lost twice and many of the first team players like Shkodran Mustafi got injured. The German international got injured in Arsenal’s match against Huddersfield Town a few weeks ago.
Arsenal head coach Unai Emery must have felt a lot of stress in the last few weeks because the gunners are yet to go back to the Premier League top four and there’s low hope of his team finishing in the UEFA Champions League spots at end of this season.
The gunners will tomorrow take on Liverpool at Anfield Stadium and Unai Emery held a pre-match press conference on Thursday to talk about a number of issues ahead of this interesting game. Unai Emery revealed some positive injury news about Shkodran Mustafi as he claimed that the German international has started training.
“Mustafi may also be close to training with us, but today he worked alone but with good feeling.” Unai Emery told the Arsenal Media.
“Tomorrow is the last training before we travel to Liverpool and we need to know who can play in training.”
Arsenal fans used to criticize Shkodran Mustafi before he got injured but most of them currently can’t wait to see him back in the starting eleven because the gunners have leaked goals because of players getting played out of position ( e.g Xhaka playing as a CB).
