Unai Emery speaks out on Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation

The gunners welcomed Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium today and they won the game 4-2 after an impressive performance in the second half. Arsenal was 2-1 down in the first half but the introduction of Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette in the second half helped the gunners get the three points.

Aaron Ramsey is in the final year of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and the Arsenal fans believe that his performance against Tottenham Hotspur can show that the gunners should pay him the wages which he wants, he made two assists and showed that he is still very passionate about being an Arsenal player.

Aaron Ramsey has been linked with many clubs in the last few months ever since reports broke out saying that the North Londoners had told him that he won’t receive a new deal from them because he isn’t in their future plans. Arsenal boss Unai Emery was asked to tell the latest about Aaron Ramsey’s contract renewal but he avoided that question and spoke of how the Wales international will continue helping them.

“Aaron has chances to help us, either by starting the match or when the match is in the second half to play minutes.” Unai Emery told Arsenal.com.

“Above all today can be his day. Because it’s against Tottenham and he has experience of matches like today.”

“We are continuing with him in our process, helping him to be with us with his performances, with his qualities and his experience here.”
