Unai Emery speaks out on Mesut Ozil playing against Huddersfield Town
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has missed their last two matches because of back spasms according to the team news which the club has released before each of their games. Arsenal fans don’t believe that he has back spasms because he was benched in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth a few weeks ago.
Mesut Ozil has always been the star in most Arsenal North London Derby victories but he however unexpectedly missed this game because he had a back problem, then the fans expected him to be available for the match against Manchester United but he again wasn’t on the team sheet that took on the Red Devils.
Mesut Ozil was not seen in the training sessions that were done before their trip to the Old Trafford so it implied that it was already clear that he would miss that game. Arsenal boss Unai Emery faced the press today ahead of their match against Huddersfield Town at the Emirates Stadium, and he says that the German international will be assessed tomorrow before he can be cleared to play.
“He had backache and now he’s working with the physio. We are going to look at when he can come back with us.” Unai Emery told Arsenal Media.
The gunners boss was then asked if Mesut Ozil would be available for the match on Saturday and he replied saying;
“This morning he worked with the physiotherapist on the pitch, running and touching the ball. Tomorrow will be the decision.”
