Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Cardiff City
Arsenal will today welcome Cardiff City at the Emirates Stadium and the gunners will be hoping to collect all the three points to keep their Premier League top four hopes alive.
The gunners will today face Cardiff City at the Emirates Stadium and this will be a must win game for Unai Emery’s men because Manchester United is just waiting for the chance to get ahead of Arsenal on the Premier League table. So here is the expected Arsenal lineup to face Cardiff City tonight.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE CARDIFF CITY
Leno, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Mavropanos, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Goalkeeping:
Petr Cech has announced that he will be retiring from football at the end of this season, he was awful in Arsenal’s 1-3 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup. So Bernd Leno will definitely be in the starting eleven that plays against Cardiff City.
Defence:
The gunners are currently in an injury crisis and so Unai Emery will be forced to play inconsistent Shkodran Mustafi and Dinos Mavropanos who just returned from a long-term injury, these two will be played as Arsenal’s centre backs against The Bluebirds. Hector Bellerin is injured and Ainsley Maitland-Niles isn’t consistent in the right back position so Unai Emery is expected to give Carl Jenkinson a chance in tonight’s match. So Carl Jenkinson and Sead Kolasinac will be Arsenal’s full backs.
Central Midfield:
If Unai Emery decides to use the 4-2-3-1 formation then he will certainly bench either Matteo Guendouzi or Xhaka but it will surely be the teenager. So Xhaka will be paired with Lucas Torreira.
Attacking trio:
Mesut Ozil has not started Arsenal’s matches ever since their 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion but he could finally start today. Mesut Ozil will probably be played in the CAM position while Aubameyang and Iwobi play on the other wings.
Striking:
Alexandre Lacazette has been impressive in the last few weeks and so he will today be in the starting eleven.
