Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Manchester United
The Arsenal lineup to face Manchester United has not been released yet but here’s the predicted starting eleven to take on the Red Devils.
Arsenal will today face on form Manchester United side and even though the visiting side has a better team but the North Londoners also have enough man power in front if Unai Emery decides to use them today. So let’s take a look at the expected Arsenal lineup to face Manchester United today.
Cech, Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal, Xhaka, Torreira, Iwobi, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Goalkeeping:
Arsenal has used Bernd Leno in the Premier League and it usually gives its second choice goalkeeper a chance to get some game time in the cup competitions. So Petr Cech will definitely be in the starting eleven that faces Manchester United this evening.
Defence:
Arsenal was successful with playing four at the back on Saturday against Chelsea so there’s no reason to change that today even though Bellerin has got injured. So Stephan Lichtsteiner and Nacho Monreal could start as Arsenal’s full backs while Koscielny and Kolasinac get a rest.
Central Midfield:
Since the gunners will be with two holding midfielders ( 4-2-3-1 formation ) then Unai Emery will choose Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka over Matteo Guendouzi. The young Frenchman could be benched in this match.
Attacking Midfield:
Mesut Ozil has not played for Arsenal since their match against Brighton & Hove Albion but he could be in the starting eleven that faces the Red Devils. Arsenal’s attacking trio could consist of Iwobi ( right-wing) Ozil ( CAM ) and Aubameyang ( left-wing).
Striking:
Alexandre Lacazette will be used as a solo striker in this game if Unai Emery uses the 4-2-3-1 formation.
