William Saliba has been linked with a move to Arsenal for over a month now and there has been many reports regarding this transfer but it looks like it will be coming to an end as latest reports claim that he is on the verge of signing for the North Londoners.
Arsenal looked set to announce the signing of William Saliba a week ago but Tottenham Hotspur abruptly entered into the race for the signature of the 18-year-old and sent an improved bid for him but the gunners also matched that bid hence all the power being given to the player as both North London clubs had made the same offers to Saint-Etienne.
BBC SPORT claims that William Saliba has chosen Arsenal over Tottenham Hotspur and that he will be coming to the Emirates Stadium on a fee believed to be £27million (to be paid in installments). Arsenal will however send him back on loan to Saint-Etienne for one more season as this is a request by the player and his club as he wants to continue to develop for one more year in the French Ligue one.
William Saliba who is 18 years old is viewed as a young centre back who has all what it takes to become the new Varane after making his senior debut last season. The gunners will then probably have to wait until 2020 before they can see him playing at the Emirates Stadium but they will however be glad that they have secured his signature as per the latest reports say that it is a done deal.
