Aubameyang has so far scored 17 goals in the Premier League and the gunners are worried that they might not be able to tie him down to a new contract since the club has massively regressed this season. Aubameyang has entered into the final 18 months of his contract and there hasn’t been any communication made by the club on whether they can keep him past the 2020 summer.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived at Arsenal in the 2018 January transfer window and he has went on to score 49 Premier League goals for the club which is more than every player bar Salah has scored since he set foot in England and so it’s very important that the North Londoners don’t lose him. The gunners have however received some positive news about Aubameyang’s contract situation as a report by le10Sport claims that the Gabon international could agree to a new deal if the North London manages to get a spot in next year’s UEFA Champions League.

Aubameyang is currently 30 years old and he wants to end his career with a few medals and also playing at the highest level, and the above report claims that the gunners have indeed offered him a new contract but that he has however put it on standby because he would like to see if the club will be getting UEFA Champions League football and also show ambition. The gunners are currently just seven points away from a Champions League spot and they also can qualify through winning the UEFA Europa League and so the fans will be hoping that their form under Mikel Arteta continues.

Aubameyang has openly been happy with the progress of Arsenal under Mikel Arteta in the last few weeks and they are rumours that he could consider renewing his contract in order to be apart of the rebuild under the new manager.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
