Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has entered the final 18 months of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and there are worries that he might not renew hence being sold in the summer transfer window to avoid losing him for free. Bernd Leno has however shared his opinion on the contract situation of Aubameyang and the fans will be glad that he decided to talk about it.

Aubameyang is without a doubt, Arsenal’s best player in the last two years but the disappointment of last season and the start of this season has reportedly seen him get frustrated with the club because it looks like the North Londoners will be without Champions League football for a fourth straight season, and this wouldn’t be ideal for him as he is in the final years of his career and wants to win trophies and play in the top competitions like UCL.

Aubameyang hasn’t openly talked about his future at Arsenal but there are many reports claiming that he could leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window if they don’t meet some certain requirements. Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has revealed that he believes that Aubameyang will be staying at the club but believes they’ll need another top striker if he leaves.

“I think it depends if Aubameyang signs a new contract or [if] he leaves. I don’t know what they are going to do. But if he leaves, of course, you need another player. But I think he’s going to stay.” Bernd Leno said on a Twitch stream.

The gunners will be looking to make sure that Aubameyang signs a new deal because he has been an outstanding signing as he never stops scoring goals and it would certainly take an immense amount of money to get a player of his calibre in the current transfer market.
