Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly identifies the perfect replacement for Aubameyang
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will be looking to get a replacement for Aubameyang if he does leave in the summer and reports from Spain claim he has identified someone.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he would be happy if Aubameyang signed a new deal with the gunners but he’ll however still have to face the reality as the Gabon international has yet to confirm or show any signs that he will be committing his future to the North London club. Reports from Spain are now claiming that Arteta has identified the replacement for Aubameyang if he does end up leaving.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will soon enter the final year of his current deal and Arsenal’s failure to tie him down to a new deal has seen a number of clubs get interested as the 30-year-old is a type of player that would instantly improve any club in the world due to his incredible goal scoring record.
Spanish outlet AS is reporting that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has identified Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic as the perfect replacement for Aubameyang if he gets sold in the upcoming summer transfer window. The report claims that even though Luka Jovic has only scored two goals in the Spanish LA Liga so far this season, the gunners will be confident that he can impress in the Premier League since he scored 20+ goals for Eintracht Franckfurt last season.
Real Madrid signed Luka Jovic for a fee believed to be over £50million but he has however failed to get used to Zidane’s tactics and it looks like he has failed to adapt to the Spanish LA Liga but the gunners would however get him on a loan deal hence not being too much of a risk for them as they will have a tight budget due to the possibility of no European football and the loss of matchday income due to the pandemic.
AS also confirms that Arsenal will however have to face competition from Chelsea and that even though Real Madrid would be open to offer Luka Jovic a new opportunity, that could however change if they get one of their transfer targets like Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Sadio Mane.
