Arsenal transfer target Willian speaks out on his future at Chelsea
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea winger Willian and the Brazilian international has spoken out about the uncertainty of his future.

Arsenal will reportedly look for free agents in the upcoming summer transfer window and since Chelsea winger Willian won’t be renewing his current contract and so the gunners have been linked with a move for the Brazilian international. Willian has for the first time in weeks come out and speak about his future.
The gunners have taken a massive financial hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic and so their only option of trying to strengthen their squad is through signing out of contract players and swap deals. Willian has been so impressive this season and despite his age, the gunners might try to make sure this opportunity doesn’t go passed them as it’s claimed that Arsenal got David Luiz to try to convince his former teammate to come to the Emirates Stadium in the 2020 summer transfer window.
Willian has been at Chelsea for seven years but he has however failed to reach an agreement with the 31-year-old over a new deal since he wants a three-year deal as opposed to the two they were willing to offer. Willian confirms this in his latest interview and also claims that he is not sure if he will be staying at Chelsea.

“It’s a difficult situation because Chelsea offered me two years and they are not going to change what they offered. I said I wanted three more years.” Willian told Esporte Interativo as per The Metro.
“The situation is difficult because of this. I really don’t know if it will be possible [to stay]. My goal is to continue working and focus on the remainder of the season, so that Chelsea can continue winning games.”
“I have a clear head and I’m focused for the rest of the season that we have left. I think it’s difficult [to stay]. Let’s see what happens.”
Willian is now 31 years old and so his move to Arsenal could face opposition from some of the gooners since they want the club to stop getting scraps from Chelsea since this has now happened twice i.e. the moves of David Luiz and Petr Cech. On the hand, Willian has already admitted that he wouldn’t mind going to a rival as he hopes to stay in London.
