How Arsenal can still convince Aubameyang to stay and extend his contract
Aubameyang’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season and looks set to quit the club however Arsenal can still manoeuvre a way to keep him.

Uncertainty continues to surround the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Arsenal, he continues to be linked with several clubs almost on a daily basis.
Reports have stated that Arsenal could lose their star man for as low as half the price they would have desired to obtain. It is reported that Aubameyang who turns 31 next month could be sold for just a meagre £30m due to the implication of the Covid-19 pandemic on the market value of players.
Despite Arsenal’s low chances of making Aubameyang renew his contract which expires in June 2021 there is still a way how the club can tempt him to stay.
Aubameyang could be tempted to stay if Arsenal are able to sign World class players of his calibre. Thomas Partey has been on Arsenal’s radar for a while and the club are trying to find a way of snapping up the Ghanaian midfielder.
No doubt Partey would introduce a much needed strength and stability into Arsenal’s struggling midfield and solve their issues in that department. Partey who has a release clause of just £43m is reportedly keen on joining The Gunners.

Signing of Thomas Partey could be a double win for Arsenal
Mikel Arteta is also desperate to sign a Centre-back which is another problematic position for the club.
Highly rated RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano and prospect defender Axel Disasi have been linked with a move while latest reports state long term target Samuel Umititi could be availabe at a cut price of €30m.
Wingers such as Thomas Lemar and Justin Kluivert have also been linked with move to Arsenal, the signature of a Left Winger would mean Aubameyang will shift to his preferred role as centre-forward as he has normally been played on the wings to accommodate Lacazette.

Signing a winger like Lemar would shift Aubameyang to his favoured position
Arsenal basically need to sign 2 or 3 high quality players in the transfer window which would be a sign of ambition for the next season and future. The arrival of players of such a calibre would definitely convince Aubameyang to stay and help the club achieve it’s goals. In addition Arsenal must also meet his wage demands.
