Report: How Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta can adapt his squad to play using Liverpool’s system

The Premier League will be returning soon and we take a look at how Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta can adapt his squad to play a system similar to that of Liverpool.

Arsenal have in the last few months shown signs of improvement but they are however still not yet consistent enough as they even embarrassingly get knocked out from the UEFA Europa League and so Mikel Arteta will have to adapt.

Liverpool have been one of the best teams in the world this season and everyone has been so surprised with the rise that they have had in the last three years as they have reached UEFA Champions League twice, winning it on the second try to are on course to win the league. They are famously known for using the 4-3-3 formation and so here is how Arteta can adapt his squad to fit into this type of system.

GOALKEEPING:

Even though Bernd Leno might not be as good as Liverpool’s Allison but he is however an incredible shot stopper that is great with the ball which is very important in modern football.

DEFENCE:

Liverpool’s centre backs are obviously superior when compared with Luiz and Mari but the gunners do have two fantastic attacking fullbacks in Tierney and Bellerin. Tierney is a fantastic crosser of the ball and would be impressive for the gunners if Arteta tried to use a system like that of Klopp.

CENTRAL MIDFIELD:

Liverpool’s midfield is not known for its creativity and individual talent but what’s interesting is how they are all three usually very aggressive and agile which helps the fullbacks to freely go forward. Xhaka and Torreira can be aggressive sometimes but Ceballos  would however need to improve in this aspect as he is sometimes not strong enough in tackling and breaking play but with Arteta’s guidance, he could be outstanding in the midfield three of him, Xhaka and Torreira. Xhaka would play the role that Henderson plays for Liverpool.

FRONT THREE:

Liverpool got lucky in its assembly of the team as its team is very balanced with two wingers in Mane and Salah and Firmino in the striking role but Arteta could however want to play a front three but the problem is he only has one winger and two strikers. So Arteta would now have to use Aubameyang who is a striker on the left wing and Pepe on the right while Lacazette plays in the same role as Firmino.
