Thomas Partey’s close friend speaks out on Arsenal’s interest in the Ghanaian international
Arsenal has been the most linked club with a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and his close friend has spoken about these rumours.
Arsenal has in the last few weeks been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder Thomas Partey and these reports have had some weight on them as his father even commented on them saying that the player would be coming to the Emirates Stadium. Partey has been pursued by Arsenal for a while and a close friend of his has commented on these reports.
Thomas Partey joined Atletico Madrid and he has in the last three years been in an important player in the squad as he has been one of their best players in this campaign with his two performances against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League attracting the attention of many gooners on social media and they then started hoping that the North London club would make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
Partey will be chased by a number of clubs in the summer but Arsenal seem to be the most advanced in talks as reports of him coming to the Emirates Stadium have been heard in these last few weeks and his Ghana national football team teammate Kasim Nuhu has also come out to comment on these rumours. Nuhu states that Atletico Madrid and Arsenal are pretty similar and that the decision will be for Partey to make but claims that the Premier League is the best league in the world.
“Atletico Madrid is a very good club so he is playing one of the biggest clubs in the world and Arsenal is also one of the biggest.” Nuhu said on TV3 as quoted by GhanaWeb.
“For me, it is his decision because playing in Atletico Madrid is the same as playing in Arsenal. The two teams always make the same category in the league fighting for the 3rd and 4th place to play in Champions League but as we all know the Premiership is the best league in the world so if he joins Arsenal, I will be happy for him.”
