Report: Mikel Arteta green lights Arsenal’s move for young talented midfielder
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will be looking to improve his squad in the summer and he has given his approval to the club to signing a young midfielder.

The summer transfer window is not open yet but most clubs including Arsenal have already begun making plans on how they are going to bring in new players. Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the club backs him in this transfer window since it will be very important in him having success with the North Londoners.
The gunners have had many problems in their defence this season and many believe that they will need to only sign defenders this summer but it looks like Mikel Arteta is also hoping to improve his side in the midfield as well. A report by Dutch outlet Voetbal International is claiming that Arsenal have been interested in Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu for a long time and that they will now make an offer for the young midfielder in a few weeks time.
The report also claimed that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is in support of the decision of signing Orkun Kokcu in this up upcoming summer transfer window because he had already known about the 19 year old through his time at Manchester City since the defending Champions were also monitoring him.

Voetbal International also claims that Mikel Arteta believes that Kokcu is a player that would suit his philosophy that he wants to bring to Arsenal. Kokcu got six assists and three goals in the recently cancelled Eredivisie 2019/20 season and even though his stats might not look that convincing, he is however still considered to be one of the best prospects in the Dutch league since he is a great midfielder.
Some reports claim that Orkun Kokcu is valued at around £23million and so it will be interesting to see if Arsenal does manage to pay the amount since all football clubs have taken financial hits due to the COVID-19 putting an abrupt stop to almost all sporting events.
