Chelsea winger Willian is yet to receive a new deal as his current one expired in July and so Arsenal have kept their eyes on this situation since getting the Brazilian international on a loan deal would be ideal for the gunners since they will have a slim budget.

It has been widely reported that Willian has told Chelsea that he wants a three year deal to stay at the London club and there was a report by Sky Sports this morning that The Blues had finally accepted to keep the Brazilian international at the club since he has been impressive for them this season hence Arsenal losing out on the chance to get him on a free deal.

Arsenal fans might have however this evening received some good news as a new report from The Guardian has claimed that the chances of Chelsea keeping Willian at the West London club are becoming slimmer and so that there is a possibility that he will definitely end up coming to the Emirates Stadium before the end of the summer transfer window which opened today.

It is believed that Arsenal will try to sign players that are available on a free and swap deals since they like all the Premier League clubs have suffered financially due to COVID-19 making teams lose most of their matchday revenue. Arsenal will be even hit harder since they could miss out on European football if they fail to win The Emirates FA Cup this Saturday and so it is no surprise that they are getting linked to players that are out of contract like Chelsea’s Willian.

Willian hasn’t talked about his future for some time but he did say months ago that he will not be opposed to joining a rival as he would love to stay in London.
