Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi hasn’t played a game since the 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion which is a match that saw him clash with Maupay at the full time whistle. Guendouzi was not given a ban by The FA but Arteta has stopped picking him and has now made a final decision on Guendouzi’s future as per reports.

Matteo Guendouzi started in Arsenal’s first two games since the Premier League restart but he has however been left out of the squad since that Brighton game and there were reports that came out after that game saying that the young Frenchman was bragging about how he was earning more wages than they would ever get.

A report by The Athletic has now confirmed that Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have now finally made a decision on the future of Matteo Guendouzi and that they were now looking for a potential buyer or perhaps doing a swap deal including him to get their transfer targets. The report claims that the incident that happened at Brighton is not the only reason why Arteta will let Guendouzi because there were some past incidents that made him annoyed.

They also claim that Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi and technical director Edu Gaspar along Mikel Arteta met the 21 year old after his scuffle at Brighton but that they were however not impressed with his attitude as he also did not apologize. The Athletic also adds that Arsenal will now soon meet the representatives of Matteo Guendouzi so that they can talk about the future of the player and so it will be interesting to see how this ends as the 21 year old was usually seen as a player for the future.

Guendouzi joined Arsenal in 2018 and has played a lot of matches in a short time as he was a favourite under Emery but Arteta hasn’t been that of a fan and it looks like the previous incidents and what happened in Brighton has made the new gunners boss drive the young Frenchman out of the club.
