Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea winger Willian in the last few weeks and there have been many reliable reports saying that this deal has a huge chance of happening since the gunners would get him for free.

Willian scored nine goals and also made seven assists in the Premier League last season and the gunners will be hoping to bring him to the Emirates this summer because they will not want to overplay their young wingers hence the need for Brazilian international as his experience could be beneficial for the dressing room. The 31 year old has been at Chelsea for seven years now and he is however looking for a move elsewhere as they have not met his demands hence the failure to reach an agreement of a contract renewal.

ESPN is now reporting that Arsenal could announce Willian as their player later on this month after he agreed a three year deal from the gunners and that he will be earning £100,000 a week wages which is contrary to earlier reports which claimed that the North Londoners would give the Brazilian international hefty wages. The Arsenal fans will be glad that Willian will be announced as an Arsenal player this month as the season is starting next month and because the club has always been known for being a club that makes its transfer business in the last days of the transfer window.

It is claimed that Willian was not happy that Chelsea didn’t give him the three year contract that he wanted and that he now had to join their rivals Arsenal even though Frank Lampard him to be part of his Premier League squad for the 2020/21 campaign. It is also believed that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is involved in this deal as getting a wide player is one of his summer transfer priorities.
