Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was very impressive for Arsenal last season as he scored 29 goals and the fans have spent weeks waiting for him to sign a new deal but the club is yet to announce that he has indeed signed it. Aubameyang has however took it upon himself to give an update to the Arsenal fans about the contract situation.

Aubameyang was very influential for Arsenal in the 2019/20 campaign as he scored a good percentage of their goals in the Premier League and all the four goals that they scored in the semi finals and final of the Emirates FA Cup against Manchester City and Chelsea respectively. It’s been reported that Aubameyang has agreed to a new three-year deal with Arsenal but the fans are still worried that it might not go through as the club is yet to officially announce it on their platforms.

Arsenal fans have been continuously asking Aubameyang on his official social media accounts to confirm whether he has indeed signed a new deal and he has now finally replied to them via the Instagram live stream of his brother Willy Aubameyang, saying that they keep sending him emojis of a pen and paper to sign a new deal but he however says that he is yet to receive the papers. He also said at the end of the live stream that they should expect good news soon.

“Everyone is showing the pen & paper [emoji] but I still don’t have the papers bruv!” said Aubameyang.

“Hopefully great news for everybody.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could have just been joking with the Arsenal fans but they will however be happy that he replied to them and there’s a belief among the fanbase that the contract renewal could be announced in the coming days since the Gabon international is now back in England.
