Report: Arsenal youngster to be given start by Mikel Arteta in match against Fulham
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will reportedly give a start to a youngster in their Premier League match against Fulham.

The new Premier League season will start on Saturday and Arsenal’s game against Fulham will kick it off in the afternoon. Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is currently preparing for this match as he will obviously want to start the campaign with a win and will have to find the suitable lineup that would get all the three points, and it’s now being reported that he will give a chance to a youngster.
Arsenal signed William Saliba in the 2019 summer transfer window and he didn’t play for the gunners last season as he was loaned back to St Etienne for a full season but he is now back at the Emirates Stadium and has been training with his teammates for weeks now. Arsenal fans have been curious on if William Saliba will play in their first game against Fulham and it now looks like they might get their wish.

A report by Daily Mail claims that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will give William Saliba his debut on Saturday when the gunners take on Fulham and this decision comes out after it was revealed that David Luiz will not be available for the first matches of the season due to an injury he sustained in training. Saliba’s arrival has made Arsenal fans happy and they will definitely be happy that they will quickly get to see him in action this weekend since football pundits had said that he might only be used in cup competitions this season.
William Saliba and David Luiz are both right footed centre backs and so that’s why the young defender could be given a chance against Fulham on Saturday as Mikel Arteta has said that his defence being balanced is one of his main priorities. Arsenal signed Gabriel Magalhaes this summer but the above report does not reveal if he will also start but it’s unlikely since he is only trained with the club for a few days.
