Arsenal will begin their Europa League journey in the Austrian capital on Thursday at 5:55pm UK time against Rapid Vienna.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides. Arsenal’s last  Austrian opponent were Austria Wien in 1991 they beat them 6-3 on aggregate in the European cup.

Team News

Rob Holding picked up a hamstring injury before the Man City game and will be out for 3-4 weeks. Willian and Ceballos are also ruled out of this game with slight injuries but should be fine for the weekend.

Shkodran Mustafi has recovered from his injury and could be available for selection.

New signing Thomas Partey could make his full debut while new goalie Runarsson is expected to start.

Runarsson is in line for his debut.

Arteta is expected to make several changes and rest key players for the weekend game however, a decent side must be named so that the three points are secured.
