Arsenal will like most Premier League clubs hope to improve their squads in the January transfer winldow and it looks like it will even be more important for Mikel Arteta as he will hope to get some acquisitions that will save the season. The Arsenal board through the appointed technical director Edu Gaspar have revealed the type of player they will sign in January.

The gunners are in the 15th position on the Premier League table after losing their last three league games and they have been frustrating  to watch in the past few months as they have created the least chances so far in the league campaign hence some fans calling for either the reintroduction of Mesut Ozil or the signing of a new creative midfielder.

It looks like the Arsenal hierarchy have heard the supporters and seen how the gunners are really lacking a creative midfielder as technical director Edu Gaspar said recently in the Arsenal Fans Forum that the North Londoners do indeed need a creative player in the middle as they have none at the moment as per Goal’s journalist Charles Watts.

The Arsenal supporters will be happy that their hierarchy fully understands their problem of failure to create chances and they will be looking forward to seeing what new creative midfielder that they will bring to the club in the upcoming winter transfer window. Arsenal have already been linked with many attacking midfielders such as Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, Christian Ericksen and Norwich’s Emi Buendía who was quite impressive in the Premier League last season.

The gunners will however have to work hard to get their transfer target in the January transfer window since they said in the same meeting with the fans that the North London club has been financially hit by the COVID-19 pandemic
