The gunners will this weekend welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium for the annual North London Derby that has always proved to be an entertaining game. This will be an important game for Mikel Arteta as he will want to beat Spurs to continue their wonderful and so here’s the early predicted lineup that he might use in this game.
EARLY PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
TEXT FORM: Leno, Tierney, Gabriel, Luiz, Bellerin, Xhaka, Partey, Willian, Odegaard, Pepe, Aubameyang
GOALKEEPING:
Arsenal will have Bernd Leno despite the mistake he did against Olympiacos as he is still the best shot stopper at the club and Arteta wouldn’t drop him on a North London Derby day
DEFENCE:
Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin are the first choice fullbacks of Arsenal and so there won’t be any reason for them to be dropped after playing well in the UEFA Europa League. The same goes for the centre backs, Luiz and Gabriel were both good in the game against Olympiacos.
CENTRAL MIDFIELD:
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said that he subbed off Partey for tactical reasons on Thursday but he will likely start him at the weekend as Ceballos who replaced the Ghanaian international was involved in a terrible mistake that gave Olympiacos an equaliser. Partey will be paired with Granit Xhaka.
ATTACKING MIDFIELD:
Willian has provided an assist in the last four matches and so he will start ahead of Nicolas Pepe as Arteta usually trusts him in big games and Bukayo Saka will also be on the right flank with Martin Odegaard in the central attacking midfield position.
STRIKING:
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been impressive in the striking role in recent matches despite having played on the flank in the first months of the season. The Arsenal captain will lead the line for the gunners.
