Arsenal completed the signing of William Saliba from French side Saint-Étienne in the 2019 summer transfer window but he was however loaned back to that club for a season before finally coming to the Emirates Stadium in the 2020 summer. William Saliba didn’t feature for the gunners this season and then he got loaned to Nice in the January transfer window.

Konstantinos Mavropanos was signed by Arsenal in 2018 and he has spent the last two seasons out on loan as he has generally been considered surplus to current centre backs at the club. Mavropanos got loaned to VfB Stuttgart in the 2020 summer transfer window and he has also as William Saliba been very impressive at their current respective clubs with both of their loans ending at the end of this season.

Arsenal will likely have a clear out in this upcoming summer transfer window and its not known if the gunners will look to sell some of their promising young players but CBS Sports says that it’s sources have told them that Mikel Arteta has plans of trying to integrate William Saliba into the squad by starting with giving him a chance to show why he deserves to be in the first team of the North Londoners.

The report doesn’t confirm whether Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will also try to integrate Konstantinos Mavropanos into the first team but current signs show that the Greek international could be put on the transfer market.
