Report: Daniel Ek confirms unsuccessful Arsenal takeover bid
The Swedish Billionaire has confirmed he made an official offer to the Kroenke’s this week.
Founder of Spotify Daniel Ek has today confirmed that his offer to purchase Arsenal from the Kroenke Sports & Entertainment ownership was rejected.
The bid was in the region of £1.8Bn turned down by the Kroenke’s who have been under heavy criticism in the past few weeks.
In a statement on his Twitter account, Ek confirms his unsuccessful bid however, the Arsenal hierarchy contradict his statement saying they haven’t received an offer.
The Kroenke’s were of course expected to reject the offer and have made it clear that they don’t plan on selling Arsenal. It remains to be seen whether Ek will try again with a higher bid or how the Kroenke’s react.
Arsenal fans will again massively protest against Kroenke on the final matchday against Brighton at the Emirates on Sunday.
