Unai Emery speaks out on the player he fears most ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Villarreal
Arsenal will on Thursday face Villarreal at the Emirates Stadium and Unai Emery has spoken out on the player he fears most ahead of the game.
The UEFA Europa League has returned and Arsenal will face Villarreal who are coached by their former manager Unai Emery who spent 18 months in North London after being appointed to replace Arsene Wenger. Unai Emery has spoken out on the player that he will most be afraid to face in Thursday’s game against the gunners.
Villarreal beat Arsenal 2-1 in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi finals but the job is however half done as they gave away a valuable away goal hence giving the North Londoners a lot of hope ahead of this game and Unai Emery in his pre-match press conference talked about the player that he will be afraid to face as an opponent.
Arsenal striker and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did not start in the game against Villarreal in Spain but is expected to be in the starting eleven in the return leg and Unai Emery has talked about how he is a lethal striker that they will have to work hard to stop as he saw how he can turn games around when he was still the North London boss a few years back.
“Aubameyang is a killer. He was he is he always will be. Aubameyang is there to work, to defend the team and do everything for the team.” Unai Emery told Football.London.
“When he performs at the top level it’s going to be very difficult to stop. Like Xhaka I think he’s a great person and behind the great person a great footballer.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was in the starting Arsenal squad that beat Newcastle United at the weekend as he even scored the second goal and the fans will hope that he does the same in the game against Villarreal.
