Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is one of the players expected to leave the North London club in this summer transfer window and there has been reports from both England and Italy that he could be on his way to AS Roma. Granit Xhaka has been at Arsenal for five years now and its now reported that he has sent a message to the gunners about his proposed move to AS Roma.

Granit Xhaka was on his way out of Arsenal at the end of 2019 after he had been stripped of the captaincy due to the incident at the Emirates Stadium that saw him respond to the fans that had booed him as he got subbed off but the arrival of Mikel Arteta changed his plans as he got embraced by the new North London boss. Granit Xhaka seemed to have improved and stayed but it however looks like things have once again changed.

Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma are interested in Xhaka and its reported that the gunners have already rejected a bid of €15million since their asking price is higher than that, and a new report now from Corriere dello Sport that the Swiss international has personally told Arsenal to let him go even though the Italian club has not yet met their demands.

The report also claims that Granit Xhaka has already accepted personal terms with AS Roma and so it will be interesting to see if the gunners will be able to come to an agreement in the next few weeks. So we will have to wait to see if Arsenal will accept the request from Xhaka.
