Mikel Arteta tells the Arsenal supporters on what they can expect from Sambi Lokonga
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has come out to comment on the arrival of Sambi Lokonga and on what type of player that the fans should expect.

Arsenal have on Monday announced the signing of Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht on a fee believed to be around €17million and is a signing that the fans have been waiting for long to be made official since it was confirmed some time back that it was a done deal. Lokonga’s signing has been well received by the Arsenal supporters and their boss Mikel Arteta has come out to explain to them on what they can expect from the Belgian international.
Sambi Lokonga was one of the highly rated midfielders in the The Belgian First Division A and most reports have claimed that the midfielder is a player that the gunners are sighing for the future signalling that he might not be the only midfielder that will be brought to the club in this summer transfer window.
Sambi Lokonga has been hailed for his various attributes and Mikel Arteta has explained how him being an intelligent player is one of the reasons why he was brought to Arsenal this summer, and the Spaniard also confirmed that the 21 year old is ready for his next development in England.
“Albert is a very intelligent player who has shown great maturity in his performances during his development. He has been coached well by Vincent Kompany and his team at Anderlecht.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal Player.
“I know Vincent very well and he talks so highly about Albert and the positive impact he had to Anderlecht in recent seasons. We’re confident Albert’s ready for the next stage in his development and we’re looking forward to welcoming a new member to our squad with his quality and presence.”
It is not clear if Lokonga will this season get a lot of minutes as Matteo Guendouzi got in his first season at Arsenal under Unai Emery but what’s clear is Arsenal and specifically Arteta believe in his potential.
