Why Arsenal’s transfer business has slowed down so far
Arsenal have gone a little bit quiet in the transfer market and there is concern from the fanbase.
Arsenal have slowed down in their activity in the transfers market. So far the Gunners have signed Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The two confirmed signings so far are young prospects who will not walk into or improve the first team. Ben White’s move is soon to be confirmed but news of incoming personnel in areas of key concern has quieted down.
With close to two weeks to the start of the new season Arsenal are yet to address their problems in midfield and at no.10.
One of the main reasons for this is the club is struggling to offload unwanted players. The deadwood players are sitting on wages that other clubs of interest aren’t willing to accept to pay.
Offloading these players would make space and create some funds for new signings but at the moment Arteta is stuck with these players and has even played them in the preseason friendlies.
Of course Arsenal usually like to go about their business in silence and keep their surprises for the tailed of the window but time is running out and the Premier League is coming thick and fast.
If Arsenal fail to get themselves at least two quality singings, a central midfielder and a no.10 that will be a recipe for disaster.
