Arsenal are interested in signing a striker in this summer transfer window and they have identified Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez as the perfect candidate for their needs since he is such a unique forward that would fit in Mikel Arteta’s system. Latest reports from Italy have claimed that Inter Milan have replied to Arsenal’s swap deal proposal that would see the gunners get Martinez while Inter get Lacazette and Bellerin.

Alexandre Lacazette is not Arsenal’s main striker since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has outscored him in the last three years even though the Frenchman came earlier and so the gunners won’t be hesitant to losing him in this transfer window. Hector Bellerin has fallen out of favour at Arsenal as Mikel Arteta no longer has full trust in him as he has even been linked with an exit from the Emirates throughout the whole summer transfer window.

A report by SportMediaset via The Sun claims that Arsenal tried to sign Lautaro Martinez using a swap deal that would see Alexandre Lacazette and Hector Bellerin go the opposite side but that this has been immediately shut down by the Italian club as they are not interested in such kind of deal. It is claimed that Inter Milan have been left unimpressed with the North Londoners and that Arsenal will also have to work hard to convince him to come to the Emirates Stadium because she apparently prefers a UEFA Champions League club.

The next few days are definitely going to be interesting as we are likely to know more about the future of Lautaro Martinez and whether the gunners will be successful in their pursuit of the Argentine international.
