How Arsenal’s players performed for their national teams during the international break

The international break has concluded and here is a report on how Arsenal players fared on the international scene.

The final international break of the year has concluded and Arsenal players will return to London as club football resumes this weekend.

Some of Arsenal’s stars continued to with their impressive performances and helped their national teams qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Thomas Partey [groin injury] couldn’t link up with the Ghana squad however, his side managed to qualify for the CAF play-offs scheduled for next year.

Mohamed Elneny featured in Egypt’s 2-2 draw with Angola and managed to score, Egypt have qualified for the play-off stage.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on target for Gabon during their 1-0 win over Libya, he unfortunately picked up an injury and missed the next game.

Nicolas Pepe made substitute appearances for Ivory Coast however, his side lost a crucial game to Cameroon that ended their World Cup hopes.

Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka were on target as England thrashed San Marino 10-0 to qualify for the World Cup.

Takehiro Tomiyasu kept 2 clean sheets for Japan, Aaron Ramsdale a clean sheet for England, Kieren Tierney 2 clean sheets for Scotland.

Martin Odegaard featured for Norway however, they missed out on a qualification spot.
