Arsenal fans have been given some good news with the confirmation by manager Mikel Arteta that new signing Leandro Trossard from Brighton & Hove Albion will be available for selection in their upcoming fixture against Manchester United this Sunday.
Trossard had been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for just a few days and it is believed that, with talks over a deal might have taken just 24 to 48 hours to complete it. Finally, it was announced on Friday that Arsenal and Brighton had reached an agreement and he was officially signed as an, Arsenal player.
Given the fact that regular registration for players usually closes on Friday of each week, many worried whether Arsenal would be able to get Trossard signed in time for him to compete against Manchester United. But thanks to some swift work from both clubs involved and the Premier League, confirmation arrived that the Belgian attacker could indeed make his debut in North London this week as per Football.London.
Arteta conveyed his delight with signing Trossard and outlined how pleased he was that the paperwork had been processed quickly enough for the 28-year-old to feature against the Red Devils on Sunday.
